A Little Break...

Even a small fireworks show to celebrate the 4th- the first fireworks we’ve seen since leaving the States in 2006. It was really special! America we haven’t forgotten you!

Last Tuesday, the kids & I (Nisae) came out to our highlands headquarters for a little break. Jason remained in Tobo to continue on with language, but the rest of us couldn’t resist an opportunity to get to town, be with friends & “dry out” from all the rain and mud in Tobo.

We’ve had a FULL week so far including Vacation Bible School for the kids, doctor visits, my first haircut in 2 years (by someone besides me J) trips to town & pizza delivery. Yes, pizza delivery!! It has been the highlight of my week so far, besides being able to use a cell phone to call my family & clothes shopping online J. Here’s some pictures of our adventures…

Kadynn (our social butterfly) at the end of the line in a VBS water game!

Judah’s meeting our mission’s doctor for the first time. The kids all had great check ups & the doctor discovered Eden had 2 ear infections which we were able to treat right away. One of the blessings of being in town!!

Eden’s enjoying VBS from the sidelines, please notice all her accessories which are a must when we get out of the tribe!

All decked out in red, white & Blue…

In addition to all the excitement, we’ve been able to meet many of the people who support us in the tribe, including our pilot’s family, doctors, our supply buyer, business office workers, and many others who make our ministry in the tribe possible. It’s been such a blessing to be here & the kids have made many new friends and have had a great time. I’ve just gotten one email from Jason because he’s been having horrible radio reception, but he’s doing fine and has been able to get some great language time in. We’ll be flying back in on Tuesday, so pray for sunny skies that morning!
