As we enter into some unchartered waters for our family in the next weeks, it gives us peace knowing that “He charts the path ahead of us and tells us when to stop and rest”. (Ps 139) The Lord has gone before us.
We fly out tomorrow to a hospital an hour away where Jason will have his surgery. We’ll stay there 3 days afterwards to make sure there’s no complications, and then he will finish his recovery for a week at our mission headquarters where we have a doctor to take care of the follow up. We would appreciate your prayers for the surgery and a quick recovery, for no complications or infection following the procedure. We also want to praise the Lord that all of our upcoming expenses for the surgery and flights have already been covered by several of our supporters!
The kids will kick off their school year with a few days at the Christian Academy located there and then if all goes well we will fly back into Tobo around August 19th, get resettled and resume school & ministry.
If you would, please take a minute to remember our following prayer requests:
· Jason’s surgery
· Our co-workers, the Mankins, returning to PNG at the end of the month
· God-given direction for the Tobo church, focused on fewer and equipping them to lead others
· I (Nisae) will be setting language aside and primarily focusing on the kids’ schooling
· That we will remain close to the Lord, relying on His strength, and knowing His heart
“Let your unfailing love be with us Lord, even as we put our hope in you.” (Ps 44) As we enter back into the battlefield in Tobo, we have been reminded that our hope is in the Lord! It should not be in our ability, in the church there, in the growth or lack of, in the people’s response or rejection of us or God’s Word. Our hope is in the Lord and His love will never fail us or abandon us! His love constrains us- holds us together & keeps us there. (2 Cor 5:14)
Thank you for your continued prayers & support!
Jason & Nisae
